Alice, Celia, Cynthia and John – thanks for the notes! Hope the post helps you in some way. –Diane
This will be incredibly useful, Diane. Thank you so much for compiling it.
Diane, this is a marvellous thorough set of research resources… a book-on-a-blog!! Thanks for posting this well-organized resources – I only have a few RI ancestors, and now I wish I had more! 🙂
Hi Diane, I only wish I had Rhode Island ancestors so I could use all your marvelous, incredibly long list of resources. I have decided you must have a maid/cook to do the work in your house as it is obvious you devote all your time to genealogy! How else could you manage all that you do? 😊
Alice
Hi, Diane!
I went down to NEHGS last week and saw William Martin’s book about Dennis Darling of Braintree etc….. It was very informative! When I returned home, I decided to call him…..We had a great conversation and I explained where I fit in……. He did have a book left, and it is on its way to me! I can’t tell you how excited I am to own it….. Thank you so much for alerting me of its existence!
Judy Darling Grimes
Judy, that’s wonderful! I corresponded with him a bit, and he seems so nice. That book is a real treasure, thousands of footnotes for us to follow to find out more about our ancestor’s story. And he includes some related families that I definitely have ties to. thanks for letting me know!
